    VINTAGE HAITIAN VODOU SPIRIT SEQUIN BOTTLE - DAMBALA - ALTAR PIECE
    This is an offering bottle that would be placed at a Haitian Vodou altar.  The altar is the pinnacle of a Vodou ceremony. Rural Vodou altars are adorned with a plethora of bottles.

    Sequined altar bottles are each made by hand. Each bead and sequin is sewn on, one at a time. The bottles are both spiritual and a beautiful piece of cultural folk art
    The lawa depected on this bottle is probably Danbala Wèdo, the supreme snake spirit that is associated with happiness and wealth
